YAY! ROAD TRIP!

Treehouse Cabins are located about one mile from downtown Hot Springs on NC 209 South and about a 1/4 mile from the Appalachian trailhead. (Our cabins are included on the Hot Springs tourism map).

Hot Springs is located in Madison County in Western North Carolina, just a short distance from east Tennessee. The main highway through town is US 25/70 running in a north/south direction. You might view a map of Madison County, and a map of Western North Carolina prior to your travel.

ONCE YOU ARRIVE IN HOT SPRINGS...

As you go through the town of Hot Springs and pass the Triangle gas station on your right and Tabacco Road store on your left, continue about 1/4 mile. Just before the Spring Creek bridge (keep an eye out for it), you will see some brightly colored signs including TREEHOUSE CABINS on your right, turn right here. You will see the sign for Henderson Rd. a little further in. Follow this road for a 1/4 mile as it turns from paved to dirt. The road will start to incline steadily until you come to a STEEP “C” curve (see video below). If you haven’t already, put your vehicle in low (or 4WD) and GO SLOW and steady, keeping to the left or outside part of the road, and follow the signs and road up and to your right. You will immediately see the Treehouse sign and a yellow arrow, continue and keep left at the fork where you will see another treehouse sign (you may not even notice the fork!). The 4 cabins are just past this last sign on the right.

* This is a link to a video of the curve PRIOR to the road being graded(smoothed out). This shows the curve at its worst but will give you an idea of the steepness and what to expect. NOTE: if we have snowy or icy conditions 4 wheel drive is necessary. Please check the weather forecast prior to heading out.

Please feel free to ask any questions.
